Lionel Richie's youngest child, whom he shares with Diane Alexander joyfully celebrated her 22nd birthday celebration with family in newly shared snaps.

One of the former couple's children, Sofia Richie who clocked 22 flaunted her birthday celebration online. With over six million fans to impress, the 21-year-old looked gorgeous in her simple outfit. The day was fun-packed with a family banquet.

In the first post, fans saw a group of girls posing in front of an airplane, other shots showed that Sophia spent her big day in the company of her father, Lionel, and older sister, Nicole Richie.

In one image, Lionel raised one of his hands and had his mouth open. It was hard to tell what he was saying but the ambiance seemed like an exciting one for a family gathering.

A garden was beautifully decorated for the festivities and dishes were set impressively with cutleries placed by the side on a well-decorated table. Another snap showed Nicole and the celebrant in a mirror selfie. Sofia's comment was:

"22 festivities."

The upload attracted lots of likes and comments from well-wishers who decided to express their feelings. Sofia, who is a model, has many Instagram loyalists like her entertainer dad.

The young adult has been in the headlines for a while following her involvement with Scott Disick, who fathers three kids with his ex-lover, Kourtney Kardashian.

The eldest Kardashian sister separated from Disick a few years ago. However, the father of three continued to maintain a balanced relationship with their kids. Disick found love again after meeting Lionel's daughter.

The pair dated for a few years but decided to take a break earlier in the year after Disick's appointments at a rehab due to his mental health.

Shortly afterward, the pair were seen together but an insider maintained that they separated again. According to the source:
