Lionel Richie's 3 Children Are All Grown up and Successful

Over the years, star singer Lionel Richie has amassed quite a reputation for himself for being one of the best vocalists in the music industry.

Right from his days as part of "The Commodores" to being a solo artist, Richie has kept the dancefloor lit. But the ballad crooner has three kids who are all grown and doing well for themselves.

RICHIE'S FAMILY LIFE

The "All Night Long" crooner started making a name for himself as a member of the music group, "The Commodores," and while the group was thriving, the star singer tried his hands at marriage for the first time. In 1975, Lionel tied the knot with Brenda Harvey.

The two were married for 18 years, within which they adopted a little girl, Nicole Richie, in their tenth year of marriage.

After Harvey and Richie called it quits in 1993, the "Stuck On You" singer married his mistress, Diane Alexander, with whom he has two kids Miles and Sophia Richie.

CELEBRITY KIDS

Growing up in the spotlight sometimes has its effect on celebrity kids as their lives are in the public eye more often than not. Nicole Richie got acquainted with fame as a fashion designer and a TV personality among her other entertainment exploration.

It is no doubt that the "Endless Love" crooner is a doting dad who wants the best for his children.

She fought several social vices, which include drug abuse, alcoholism, and eating disorders. Nicole, however, overcame and is presently living her best life with her kids and hubby, Joel Madden. Lionel's other children, Sophia, 20, and Miles, 24 are both models, and they have their fair share of paparazzi.

Miles Richie, who is signed to Wilhelmina Models made his runway debut in 2018 at the New York Fashion Week. Since then, he has bagged deals with big shot designers like Philip Plein.

He was in the news for misconduct after authorities nabbed him at the airport for threatening to detonate a bomb because of a missed flight.

Sophia, just like her older brother, is making waves as a model and was once in a controversy due to her relationship with the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star, Scott Disick.

FATHER-DAUGHTER BOND

The relationship between Nicole and her Grammy-winning dad is exceptional as the socialite is in constant awe of the star patriarch.

The two were once featured on the cover page of a 2018 Harper's Bazaar issue, and the younger Richie has lovely things to say about her father. The 38-year-old socialite thought she and her dad were alike.

Lionel also told the outlet that he wanted his kids to explore their abilities to the fullest. It is no doubt that the "Endless Love" crooner is a doting dad who wants the best for his children, but he once said he wants his youngest child, Sophia, to experience failure.

While in an interview, the star dad talked about his parenting style, and although his youngest daughter started making a name for herself as a teenage model, he wanted her to learn from her failures and build a successful career in the end.
