'American Idol' Colton Dixon and Wife Annie Welcome Twin Daughters – What Are Their Names?
Former “American Idol” contestant Cold Dixon and his wife have finally welcomed their twin daughters! The couple gave the children to unique names and we’ve revealed them.
Colton, 28, and his wife Annie Dixon, 31, welcomed their identical twin daughters on August 18, 2020. A representative for the “American Idol” alum revealed that the children’s names were Ava Dior and Athens Elizabeth.
Ava weighed 7 lbs., 1 oz. when she was born, while Athens came out smaller weighing in at 5 lbs., 6 oz. The television personality and his wife both confirmed to “People” magazine that they were parents now.

OVER THE MOON
They also confirmed the twins’ names. Speaking about the birth of their children, the couple revealed on an Instagram post:
“We are over the moon to experience life with these twin girls.”
SHARING PHOTOS OF TWINS
The Dixon’s also shared photos of the little girls’ tiny baby feet and toes. They described the children as “our two little miracles."
The couple initially announced they were expecting one baby before finding out that they would be parents to twins.
In February 2020, the singer’s representative announced that he and his wife were expecting a child. However, a few weeks later they confirmed that they were actually expecting twins.
THE GENDER REVEAL PARTY
In April 2020, the couple held a gender reveal party where they also shared how the twins were identical. Annie documented her pregnancy journey showing off her baby bump on social media.
In September 2015, she and Colton were engaged at Walt Disney World in Florida. The couple didn’t waste much time before tying the knot four months later in January 2016.
COLTON’S WEDDING
They were married in front of 160 guests during a private ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee. The Christian music artist’s family was incorporated in the ceremony.
A FAMILY AFFAIR
Colton’s uncle had the pleasure of playing the piano while his sister Schyler, sang “How Great Thou Art” during a special wedding ceremony. Schyler has actually auditioned for “American Idol” as well.
COLTON’S TV APPEARANCE
In 2012, Colton made a name for himself when he appeared on season 11 of “American Idol.” He did justice to his musical talent when he finished seventh on the singing competition.
