Over the last few months in quarantine, Jordin Sparks and her adorable son DJ have been spending a lot of time in the pool and now the "American Idol" singer is teaching him all about pool safety.

The star who shares her son with husband Dana Isaiah partnered with "Nick Junior" to help spread the message to other children.

In the short video shared to her Instagram page, Sparks and her son are watching "Paw Patrol," while the mother-of-one tries to get her son to sing along to the pool safety rules.

The two-year-old seems captivated by it, finishing with an adorable jump before congratulating himself. The proud mom wrote:

"It's a fun way to teach kids and parents about how to stay safe in and around water. DJ is our little water buggy. He LOVES it. This PSA is the perfect thing to do that—and so catchy!"

Earlier this month, Sparks opened up about more serious lessons she would have to teach her son, particularly after the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

While the star found hope after witnessing the recent Black Lives Matter protests, she is worried about telling her son that he may be treated differently because of his skin color.

She knew the first time she met Isaiah that she would marry him.

While she believes that DJ may still be too young for that conversation, Sparks has been using the time at home to enjoy the extra time she has with her family.

That includes getting to witness the two-year-old's milestones with the singer saying that he had already blossomed. She added:

"Being able to see him grow every single day is so much fun. This morning DJ walked up to Dana, shook his hand and said, 'Nice to meet you, Dad.' It was the cutest thing."

Sparks has been married to her husband since 2017 and revealed that she knew the first time she met Isaiah that she would marry him.

The singer revealed that at first, she was planning on just being friends. However, once they were face-to-face, those plans were thrown out of the window.

Less than a year after they tied the knot, the couple welcomed their son into the world, turning them into a family of three.

Sparks revealed that while DJ looked exactly like her husband when he was born, as he gets older, she sees herself in him more, especially when he smiles.
