THE ANNOUNCEMENT

The couple tied the knot back in June 2017, and Mickey can't wait to become a mom. She is aware of her limited knowledge since it's her first child, but it's an experience she is welcoming with open arms, as she wrote:

"I’m so excited to announce that I’m having a baby! My life completely changed in an instant. Literally nothing else matters."

THEIR DREAMY WEDDING

Guyton and Savoy spent seven years together before she walked down the aisle during a private and intimate ceremony held in Kauai, Hawaii.

Twenty-three of their closest family and friends came together at the Kauai Marriott Resort, where Savoy and Guyton tied the not on the beach during a ceremony that she later described as "absolutely gorgeous."

HER NEW MUSIC

Creatively, Guyton gave birth to a new EP, her first in five years, and it's titled "Bridges." The new six-song EP is set for release on September 11, and the songs give voice to her feelings as a black country singer.

Songs like "What Are You Gonna Tell Her" and "Black Like Me" address barriers Guyton had faced in the past, while songs like "Bridges" and "Heaven Down Here" focus more on bridging the divide between fractions of people.

IT'S HER STORY

Guyton is the only black female country singer signed to a major music label. People look at the colour of her skin and are surprised to hear that she sings country.

Guyton wants to change that perception, and it starts by telling her story in her own way and breaking away from the feeling that she can't be herself, as she reportedly said:

“I was trying to write everybody else’s song and everybody else’s story when I had a unique story of my own.”

BABY BOOM

On a related note, the "Dancing With The Stars" pro Witney Carson also shared news of her first pregnancy recently. As it turned out, her close friend and fellow dancer Lindsay Arnold is also expecting, but they are not the only ones.

Quite the baby boom is happening on the dancing reality show. Apart from Carson and Arnold's pregnancies, Artem Chigvintsev just became a dad after Nikki Bella gave birth to their son on the last day of July.
