The media first got wind of their romance when they were spotted together in 2015, shortly after Ledward graduated from Cal Polytechnic University Pomona. There, she majored in music industry studies and was the school's Jazz band's lead singer.

Boseman was notoriously private in his romantic life, but the couple did make several public appearances at Hollywood events and some NBA games. One of the most memorable moments caught on camera between the two was at the NAACP Image Awards in March 2019.

At the award ceremony, the couple shared a passionate kiss right before Boseman stepped into the stage to receive the Outstanding Actor award in a Motion Picture.

During his acceptance speech, the actor reserved special praise for Ledward and acknowledged her for being with him every day. He ended the speech by declaring his love for her to which she responded in like manner.

Boseman and Ledward got engaged back in October 2019. The "Black Panther" star reportedly proposed during a date in Malibu, California.

Despite being very private about their relationship, close family members of the couple attested to the strong bond between the pair

The death of Chadwick Boseman is indeed a significant loss to the entertainment industry, and the tweet which was shared by his family on his official Twitter account is already the most liked tweet with over 6 million likes in less than 24 hours.
