It has been six years since actress Gabrielle Union and her younger husband Dwyane Wade tied the knot. Here is a glimpse at the fairy tale wedding ceremony where they sealed their bond.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have a smooth sailing relationship. Unlike the usual drama associated with celebrity marriages, the duo has found a way to make their love affair a desirable one.

Despite being older than her husband, the actress is playing her role by being a lovable partner. What is even more intriguing to her fans is that the love is not one-sided.

While Union goes online to show off her admiration for the retired athlete, Wade often gushes on his beautiful wife, whom he has known for more than a decade. They have been married for six years.

To celebrate their wedding anniversary this year, the actress shared an emotional post on Instagram that showed a series of pictures turned into a slideshow. The pictures were a reflection of shared moments from their wedding day up until their sixth anniversary.

The slideshow which had John Legend's "You & I" playing as theme song started with their wedding day picture and featured the couple when they welcomed their daughter, Kaavia. Union quipped:

"I just reaaalllllly love you. And as much as I love you, I LIKE you even more. 6 down. A lifetime to go. Happy Anniversary bae ?? @dwyanewade"

The love shared between the couple has been flawless from day one and although it was not love at first sight, they took their time to settle their feelings and they've had a marriage that has matched up with their elaborate wedding.

No woman would be quick to forget a wedding ceremony that magnificent. Neither would a celebrity wedding go unnoticed as their wedding made a buzz in the media.

Wade and his bride were the stars of the day on August 30, 2014. The couple was dressed to the nines as they enjoyed their union at the Chateau Artisan Castle in Miami.

The bride was adorned in a Dennis Basso strapless ball gown wedding dress while Wade's outfit was put together by "Dsquare2".

It took a few more years before Wade proposed to his lover.

From the stunning performances from A-list artists and attendance of top-notch socialites to the attires rocked by the bride and groom, the Union-Wade ceremony was every shade of glamour and perfection.

Union once shared a post last year reminiscing their wedding ceremony and gushed about how she had the best time at their wedding.

She further mentioned how happy she has been and asked her friends and fans to share their stories if they attended her wedding.

After the couple met in 2006, they were confirmed to be romantically involved three years later. It took a few more years before Wade proposed to his lover. The news was announced by the actress who wrote on the gram:

"Sooooo this happened....#Yessss."

The couple soon began to find ways to increase their family. After nearly ten miscarriages, they opted for surrogacy.

In 2018, they had their baby girl, Kaavia James. The introduction to motherhood was an exciting experience for the actress. Wade also shared his joy over the news of their newborn.

Kaavia is not the retired sports star's only child. He shares other kids with his former partners. Still, he has not wavered in his love for his wife and daughter. Union has also been very hospitable to her husband's kids.
