Cori's musical journey goes as far back as 2017 when she shared a cover video of "Rake It Up" by herself and friends Mali Nicole and Sazi. At the time, people were already speculating the talented trio would drop a single.

The upcoming star, who is the famous rapper’s last born with wife and high school sweetheart, Shanté, and her siblings have proved that talent runs in the family.

Cori declared in 2017 on her Instagram that making boss moves runs in their family. She followed up on that statement not only with her musical career moves but also with her big hair chop in 2018.

Several artists are known to be unique when it comes to their choice for their looks and how they want to be perceived. Like Cori, 2018 saw the likes of Tamar Braxton going bald in order to free themselves from people's opinions.

The upcoming artist joined that wagon when she shared a picture on her Instagram page revealing her new look with a funny caption that read, "They should’ve casted me for Black Panther."

The following year, her proud father shared a video of her first stage performance in Los Angeles’ “Tha Juice Joint” in January 2019 on his Instagram page. In the video, Cori can be seen performing with a live band and backup singers.
