In honor of Prince Harry's 36th birthday, the British Royal Family sent a heartfelt message to their beloved prince, who has stepped down from royal duties.

On September 15, the Royal Family sent Prince Harry a short yet sweet birthday message on Instagram. His father, Prince Charles, also sent his son a message. The post reads:

"Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duke of Sussex today!"

Since Harry is now living in Santa Barbara, California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their son Archie, the Royal Family greeted the prince though social media.

Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, also extended their birthday greetings to Harry on his special day. William posted a throwback photo of himself with Harry running at the oval race track.

For her part, Queen Elizabeth II posted an old picture of herself with her grandson during the 2017 Young Leaders convention at the Buckingham Palace. Both were all smiles in the photo.

Before Harry's birthday tributes, the Royal Family also gave Markle warm greetings during her 39th birthday in August, showing that all is well between her and her in-laws.

William and Kate shared a lovely picture of Meghan in one of their past official engagements. The couple wrote a short birthday greeting to the Duchess of Sussex.

Authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claimed that the brothers' relationship is more strained than most people realize.

The Cambridge and the Sussex couple's last reunion in public was in March - during the Commonwealth Day service at Westminister Abbey in London. It was Harry and Meghan's last royal duty.

Shortly after they stepped back from royal responsibilities and the royal palace, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the United States where they are leading a financially-independent life.

Harry and Meghan, along with their one-year-old son, Archie, resided in their temporary home in Los Angeles until they settled in their permanent Montecito home in Santa Barbara.

Settling into their new life, Meghan will return to the entertainment industry, but this time with Harry. The couple recently signed a production deal with streaming giant Netflix.

Under the deal, the pair will produce films and series, which include a scripted series, docuseries, features, children's programming, and documentaries.

The content will center on stories and issues Meghan and Harry are passionate about. They will also highlight "Archwell," the couple's nonprofit foundation.

While most fans of the Royal family thought that Harry and William are now in good terms, the authors of "Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family" tells otherwise.

Authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claimed that the brothers' relationship is more strained than most people realize. Their rift, the authors added, would take some time to heal.
