Country superstar Miranda Lambert now has another accolade under her belt, as she is set to take home at least one major award from this year's Academy of Country Music Awards.

Ahead of the broadcast of the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards, acclaimed singer Miranda Lambert's one-off cover of Elvin Bishop's "Fooled Around and Fell in Love” was announced the winner of the Music Event of the Year Award.

She shares the honor with her tourmates Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, Caylee Hammack, Tenille Townes, and Elle King. Also sharing the award is producer Jay Joyce and record labels Vanner Records and RCA Records Nashville.

Lambert, 36, rejoiced after learning of her win, and made sure to share the news with her adoring fans. She uploaded a poster of the award showing her and her collaborators for the cover. She captioned the Instagram post:

"What a day! I'm so happy to share this moment with these artists I respect so much."

The singer, who is also a Grammy winner, said that she is lucky not only for the chance to collaborate with King, Hammack, Townes, Morris, and McBryde; but also for the opportunity to call them friends.

The country hitmakers were together during Lambert's 2019 Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars tour. Their collaborative performance of "Fooled Around and Fell In Love" was one of the highlights of the tour.

In her Instagram post, Lambert also gave a shout-out to Joyce, the producer, "for making this sound amazing." The song is originally written and released in the mid-70s by blues guitarist, Elvin Bishop.

The broadcast of the awarding ceremony is set on September 16th, and for the first time, it will be held in Nashville.

Earlier, the singer expressed her gratitude and joy for the multiple nominations she has received for this year's CMA Awards.

On September 2, she shared a post on Instagram featuring a photo of herself in a car with her nominations superimposed on the photo. She said that she loves being part of country music.

The singer was nominated for these awards: Entertainer of the year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Music Event of the Year, and Music Video of the Year.

The broadcast of the awarding ceremony is set on September 16th, and for the first time, it will be held in Nashville. The original schedule was in April, but it was moved because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lambert's family in Texas could not be prouder than her. In an interview with KLTV, the country star's mother, Bev Lambert, said she was ecstatic upon hearing the news that Lambert was up for seven nominations.

Next month, Lambert is set to take part in a fund-raising event to be organized by the Country Music Hall of Fame. The "Big Night (At the Museum)" will also feature Marty Stuart, an incoming Hall of Fame member, as well as Rodney Crowell.

Lambert earlier announced that she will be performing live at the ACM awards. Her ex-husband Blake Shelton and his girlfriend Gwen Stefani also confirmed they will perform during the ceremony.
