Here's What Chris Brown's Mom Said after the Singer Let Her Listen to His New Music

Joyce Hawkins, Chris Brown's mother, showered his new music with accolades calling it a masterpiece after the artist let her listen to his new tracks.

Talented singer Chris Brown and his beautiful mom Joyce Hawkins don’t always see eye to eye, notwithstanding they are a united front with Hawkins always supporting her son, and her recent post proves it.

Recently, Hawkins excitedly shared on Instagram that her son played two of his new tracks for her, and her caption expressed how proud she was of his musical talent and called his work a masterpiece.

She posted a picture of her son and in her caption, she stated that the two tracks she heard sent chills up and down her spine and blew her mind away. Hawkins also wrote:

“AM NOT GONNA LIE THIS ALBUM IS GONNA BE AMAZING TO SAY THE LEAST!!! SO SO PROUD!!! YOU GONNA BE HAPPY [sic]."

Hawkins has always supported her son both in good times and bad times, and back in 2009, Brown disclosed he went straight to his mom after his late-night fight with Rihanna.

In 2013, [Brown] was in rehab for anger management and he also made an effort to work on his rocky relationship with his mother.

Hawkins, who was once a victim of domestic abuse, expressed that it was hard for her son to tell her what happened and when he finally did, she condemned his behavior and said:

“I explained to him that in no way (was) what he did right or acceptable.”

In 2013, the singer was in rehab for anger management and he also made an effort to work on his rocky relationship with his mother at the time.

A source revealed that Brown and Hawkins go back and forth; some days they are cool but sometimes they are not, adding that the artist eventually came to terms with the fact that Hawkins only wanted the best for him as his mother.

Hawkins has always been there for her son and her granddaughter, Royalty. She never misses an opportunity to post moments with her grandbaby on her Instagram.

When she is not busy with grandmother duties, Hawkins indulges in photo sessions. In 2019, Hawkins shared stunning pictures from a photoshoot she had in which she struck her boss poses.
