BH90210 Star Jason Priestley Praises Shannen Doherty as He Gives Update on Her Cancer Battle
Jason Priestley gave fans an update about his "Beverly Hills, 90210" co-star Shannen Doherty's breast cancer battle as he praised her for being strong and in high spirits.
Jason Priestley recently gave fans of the sitcom, "Beverly Hills, 90210" good news about his co-star, Shannen Doherty's battle with breast cancer.
During an appearance on Australia's "Studio 10" on September 22, the gave an update about Doherty's health and how she has been faring amid the pandemic.

The 51-year-old noted that he frequently keeps in touch with his colleagues and checks in on her every few months. He then praised Doherty strength during the trying period, saying:
"Shannen's a real tough girl, and Shannen's a fighter, and she's always been a fighter. And I know that she will continue to fight as hard as she can."
He concluded, revealing that the last time he heard from the actress, she was in high spirits. Fans may recall that Doherty came out with her stage four breast cancer diagnosis in February, confessing that she had been dealing with it privately.
The last time Doherty gave fans an update about her health status was in March when she shared a series of photos on Instagram.
At the time, the 49-year-old noted that she hadn't processed it enough and was worried about how to relay the news to her husband and mother.
The "Heathers" star also disclosed that she didn't tell many of her "BH90210" stars when they reunited for the reboot, and only confided in Brian Austin Green.
The last time Doherty gave fans an update about her health status was in March when she shared a series of photos on Instagram. The post featured an image of herself with friends model Anne Marie Kortright and trainer Kira Stokes, alongside several healthy meals.
In the accompanying caption, the actress explained that while dealing with cancer, she has the help of her friends who encourage her to take care of herself and take things day by day. She credited them for helping her eat healthily and work out, pushing aside the depression she felt on some days.
Doherty was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, but after two years of undergoing treatment, she announced in 2017 that she was in remission. Unfortunately, it returned in early 2020.
Nevertheless, the actress has remained positive through it all. She explained in an interview that she is candid about her health because she wants to help people who are going through something similar and give them hope.
