Nikki Bella Reveals Fiancé Artem Chigvintsev Fought Depression after Being Cut from DWTS

Retired "WWE" superstar, Nikki Bella revealed during a recent session of the "Bellas Podcast" that her fiance Artem Chigvintsev battled with depression after being cut from the popular TV show "Dancing With The Stars."

Former wrestler Nikki Bella who won millions of hearts with her "WWE" career alongside her twin sister, Brie Bella is a family woman now and she has opened up about some difficulties her spouse Artem Chigvintsev has been experiencing.

The 36-year-old disclosed on September 13 during the "Mama Juice" episode of the "Bellas Podcast", which she hosted with her sister, that her fiance Artem Chigvintsev had been emotionally crushed after being cut from "Dancing With The Stars.

The retired athlete mentioned that Chigvintsev's depression affected their relationship as the professional dancer was unable to accept that he was no longer a part of the dance show.

Nikki, celebrated [Chigvintsev's] return to the show with a romantic video of the couple dancing together.

Nikki said a silver lining appeared when the 38-year-old dancer found a job, but his depression returned once he lost the job after the COVID pandemic struck. This was why the "Total Bellas" star was thrilled when her fiance was called back to the show earlier this year.

Bella and Chigvintsev had their first son in July a month before the dancer was called back for the 29th season of "Dancing With The Stars." The Russia-American dancer was paired with former "Bachelorette" star, Kaitlyn Bristowe, for the new season.

On the episode which aired on September 22, the pair received the highest score of the night for their Foxtrot performance to the song "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack.

In August 2019, when the cast for the 28th season of DWTS was announced, Chigvintsev was shocked to find out that he and his former partner, Sharna Burgess, had been excluded from the show.

After ten years on the show, the professional dancer expressed his feelings about being cut in a series of pictures he uploaded on Instagram.

The pictures showed moments taken from the 38-year-old's time on the dance show and Chigvintsev captioned the post with a lengthy message where he expressed his sadness about no longer being a part of DWTS. He also showed his gratitude to the show, which, according to the dancer, made him the man he was today.

His fiancee, Nikki, celebrated his return to the show with a romantic video of the couple dancing together, which she uploaded on Instagram. The PDA filled video showed the pair casually dressed as they slowly danced and kissed in a room.

Chigvintsev's former partner on the dance show, Sharna Burgess, was also excited as she was called back to DWTS after being cut from the show last year.

After spending almost nine years, the 34-year-old professional dancer was sad about her removal from the show, but both she and her fans were delighted that Burgess was a part of the new season.
