Katy Perry Declares Her Respect for Fellow Mothers in Recent Tweets
Pop star Katy Perry recently took to social media to open up about being a working mother. She pointed out that it is wrong to think being a mom is not a full-time job.
Katy Perry, who gave birth to daughter Daisy a month ago, shared a series of tweets on September 24 to discuss heading back to work after giving birth to her daughter.
"Popular misconception: being a mom isn't a full-time job," Perry tweeted. The 35-year-old singer continued that when a mother finally goes back to work, she comes from a full-time job of being a mother.

In her third tweet, Perry encouraged everyone to "call your mom and tell her you love and appreciate her and advocate for paid family leave!" In her final tweet, the multi-awarded singer wrote that she loves her job.
Perry and her fiancé actor Orlando Bloom announced baby Daisy's arrival on August 26. The couple shared at the time that they were "floating with love and wonder" after Daisy's "safe and healthy arrival".
Perry and Bloom also shared a black-and-white picture of them holding Daisy's tiny hand. The singer first shared her pregnancy news through the music video for her song, "Never Worn White" in March.
The clip that already amassed more than 33 million views on YouTube shows Perry cradling her baby bump. On April 3, she confirmed that she's expecting a baby girl.
Perry was previously married to Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012.
Just days after giving birth to Daisy, Perry shared a photo of herself on her Instagram Story donning a pumping bra and underwear. She included her song "Not The End Of The World" to the post.
Meanwhile, Perry, who rose to fame in 2008 with her second album, "One of the Boys," and Taylor Swift once again publicly confirmed their friendship after the latter gave her daughter a gift.
On September 13, Perry took to the popular photo and video-sharing platform to share a snap of the gift sent by the "You Need to Calm Down" singer. Daisy also received gifts from Perry's "American Idol" colleague, Ryan Seacrest.
The new mother, who pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager, uploaded a photo of the box full of goodies on Instagram. Perry thanked Seacrest for the gifts in the caption.
Perry was previously married to Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012. Meanwhile, Bloom already has a son, Flynn Christopher Bloom, with his ex-wife, Australian model Miranda Kerr.
Perry and Bloom, who became engaged in 2019, postponed their big day because of fears around the current global crisis. Their wedding was supposedly set for early summer in Japan.
