In a recent post on her Instagram, professional American tennis player Serena Williams braved the biting cold as she played tennis dressed in warm clothes.
The post garnered several positive reactions — her fans and followers marveled at her determination. The fact that an extreme weather condition did not quell the star's passion for the game struck a chord of admiration in their hearts.

In the post, Williams had on a thick red jacket, pink jogging pants, and a pair of black gloves. She paired the look with pink and black trainers and a black face mask, showing off her sense of style.
Packing up her curly golden-brown hair, she struck quite the athletic pose as she swung her tennis bat in the air mid-action. Beneath the post, the athlete captioned:
"The things you do to stay warm…"
A Twitter user also quoted her reaction to the weather. This is, however, not Williams' first time acknowledging harsh weather conditions. In January 2018, an extreme weather situation known as “bomb cycle” reportedly hit the whole of the East Coast.
The cyclone brought wind, snow, and cold temperatures to places that did not usually experience it. Williams took to her Instagram and posted a picture of Palm Beach's weather forecast and the 39 degrees already said enough.
The athlete has lost only once in the first round of a grand slam.
The athlete has had quite the year. Earlier this month, she was reportedly forced to withdraw from the forthcoming Italian Open, citing the achilles problem that handicapped her during her defeat by Victoria Azarenka in the US Open semi-finals.
During her three-set-loss in New York, Williams took a medical break for treatment on her achilles. The medical condition has been a source of weakness and concern for the all-time winner.
However, she was back on her feet during the 2020 French Open. The competition which was earlier slated for May returned with such a bang on Monday after it was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite her defeat earlier this month, on day two of the 2020 French Open, Williams showed the world of sports precisely what she was made of with her win against fellow tennis player, Kristie Ahn.
The athlete has lost only once in the first round of a grand slam and that was eight years ago when she played against Virginie Razzano, ranked 111 at the time. In this year's Open, Williams was clearly not ready for a repeat.
The star who celebrated her 39th birthday last Saturday seems more than ready to take on any challenge. Williams has always been a fan of winning and that is exactly what she came to do.
