TOM BERGERON AND ERIN ANDREWS LEAVE "DWTS"

It came as a shock to fans of the ABC show when it was announced in July that Bergeron and Erin Andrews were leaving the show.

The network shared the shocking news via a statement, explaining that they were embarking on a new creative direction and chose to part ways with the longtime host.

They also said goodbye to Erin, who joined Bergeron as a co-host in 2014, saying that they appreciated her impact and sense of humor.

Bergeron began hosting "DWTS" in 2005 and was joined by several celebrities until Andrews arrived. The hosting duties were transferred to model Tyra Banks.

BERGERON'S REACTION

Despite the controversy surrounding the sudden departure, Bergeron and Andrews have remained gracious, smiling through the process.

The former "America's Funniest Home Videos" host reacted to the news with a tweet, thanking the show's creator for the privilege to be part of the reality competition. He described his time on the show as an "unexpected gift" and concluded, writing:

"I'm grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made. That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?"

While he has kept fans updated with fun activities that have kept him busy, the father-of-two hinted that his exit from the show was scandalous. When a fan speculated that the reason he and Andrews were let go was because the show needed more diversity, Bergeron said that was false.

"DWTS" DISNEY NIGHT

While fans are still coming to terms with Bergeron's exit, they were thrilled with an array of costumes during the iconic Disney Night. As expected, the celebrities and their pro partners brought their A-game in various fun ensembles.

Nev Schulman and Jenna Johnson were dressed as characters from "Pirates of the Caribbean," while Sasha Farber and Justina Machado mirrored "Mary Poppins."

However, the highlight of the night was Carole Baskin and Pasha Pashkov, who didn't disappoint with cat outfits as they danced to "Circle of Life" from "Lion King."
