The comedian once admitted that he raised his daughters with a firm hand and taught them to be modest people by making them aware that they were blessed with more than what he had growing up.

The "National Security" star had his first daughter, Jasmine in 1995 with Patricia Southall, who he also married that same year.

However, the couple went their separate ways in 1997. The "Martin" star was then blessed with two daughters, Iyanna in 2000 and Amara in 2002 from his relationship with Shamicka Gibbs who he was married to from 2010-2012.

Last year, the former couple came together to help their daughter, Iyanna move into college. The emotional moment was captured by Shamicka on her Instagram where she shared a series of pictures from the move-in and captioned the post with a heartwarming message.

Back in August 2019, the proud mother broke the exciting news that her daughter would be attending Sarah Lawrence College to pursue a career in creative writing. It appeared Iyanna was following in her father's creative footsteps.

While the "Bad Boys" star would miss his daughter as she began her college life, the father-of-three would not be alone as he had his fiancee, Roberta Moradfar by his side.

The "Life" actor got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Moradfar in 2017, and according to sources, it took months to create the unique 5-carat emerald cut engagement ring which also had an extra carat on the ring's band where the couple's initials were engraved.

The icon is a great father and lover but what fans might not know about the actor is that he is a German native born on April 16, 1965.

Before his acting career began, Lawrence pursued a career in boxing but quit to perform stand-up comedy for a few years before his debut in Hollywood as the host of HBO's "Def Comedy Jam."

This led the actor on the road to bigger roles on television like his own sitcom, "Martin" and starring in popular movies such as "Bad Boys" and "Big Momma's House."
