Check Out Reese Witherspoon's DIY Porch Decoration for Halloween

Actress Reese Witherspoon is ready for the festivities that come with Halloween. Over the weekend, the star decorated her front porch with pumpkins, flowers, and more.

On Saturday, October 3, 2020, Reese Witherspoon, 44, revealed her do it yourself (DIY) process for decorating her front porch for Halloween. She uploaded a photo of the final product on Instagram before sharing the steps she took to create it.

On her social media, she wrote: “Fall Porch decorating!” She further captioned the post writing:

“This is my attempt at @southernlivingmag Fall Porch edition... check story for my DIY adventures.”

DECORATING FOR THE FALL

In her Instagram Story, she took her fans through a step-by-step procedure of how she decorated her porch. The star revealed in her videos that she’d gotten some pumpkins, corn stalks, and a fall flower arrangement for the process.

Witherspoon will also reprise her role as Elle Woods on the third installment of the “Legally Blonde” film series.

The “Big Little Lies” actress included a clip showing some of the items she’s ticked off. The items were packed nicely in the boot of her car.

REESE’S DECORATIONS

In the next frame of the video, she showed some of the various flowers she’d gathered for the task. Witherspoon also showed off pumpkins in different sizes and shades that would feature in her decorations.

She showed off a colorful bouquet in the next frame. The star noted that the flowers she’d chosen “spark[ed] joy” in her.

ADDING FLOWERS & MATCHING

Yellow, pink, and purple flowers could be seen in the bouquet. The “Legally Blonde” actress featured in the next frame smiling while wearing an orange jersey which matched perfectly with her items.

The next frame showed the final product in her big reveal. She also included footage of her dog, Hank, posing next to the display and jokingly shared how the canine approved of her work.

WITHERSPOON’S ACTING WORK

When Witherspoon isn’t working on decorating her porch for the fall, she’s still doing acting work. Her work might have slowed down a bit due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease, but she’s still working in the background.

According to “Daily Mail,” the star is currently working on the sequel to “Sing.” She’s featuring on the animated musical “Sing 2,” where she is reprising her voice role as Rosita the pig.

“LEGALLY BLONDE” 3 & MORE

The actress will also reprise her role as Elle Woods on the third installment of the “Legally Blonde” film series. Last month, Witherspoon was nominated for an Emmy Award for her limited series, “Little Fires Everywhere.”

She and fellow actress Kerry Washington worked on the series together. They ended up hosting a remote socially distanced New Year's Eve–style party to celebrate the ceremony but their show never won.

GETTING PREGNANT YOUNG

In September 2020, Witherspoon appeared remotely on “The Drew Barrymore Show.” She opened up to Drew Barrymore about getting pregnant at age 22 before she found her fame.

The star and her now ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe, were expecting their daughter Ava Phillippe, now 21. She confessed to Barrymore that she was scared about how she was going to juggle things.

JUGGLING WORK & MOTHERHOOD

Witherspoon explained that she feared having to juggle her growing career and motherhood. At the time, the star’s career had just begun launching in 1999.

She was starring in movies like "Election" and "Cruel Intentions.” The actress was concerned about having to film movies and not being able to pull her child out of school because she wasn’t that famous yet.

WITHERSPOON’S CHILDREN

However, Witherspoon managed quite well. She and her husband, Jim Toth, are parents to son Tennessee, 8-years-old.

With Phillippe, she also gave birth to Deacon, 16-years-old. On September 26, 2020, little Tennessee celebrated his eighth birthday.

LASTBORN SON’S BIRTHDAY

Witherspoon took to Instagram to celebrate her youngest son’s birthday with a photo of him sitting and smiling. In the background, several blue balloons with streamers could be seen.

His mother wished him a happy birthday in the caption of the post. She also called him funny, and the brightest spirit, and described him as the most inquisitive soul she knew.

WHAT SHE ALSO DOES

Besides her acting and producing work, “The Morning Show” actress also has her hands in a couple of cookie jars. She is into fashion and runs the clothing store, Draper James.

Her production company is called Hello Sunshine. Outside of the acting industry, Witherspoon also runs a very popular book club.
