Rita Wilson does not disappoint when it comes to throwback posts. The 63-year-old recently sent her avid fans into overdrive after uploading a throwback makeup-free photo of herself on social media.

Rita Wilson shared the adorable snap on October 1 as a way to make her one million Instagram followers smile and get their minds off stressful situations amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The renowned actress looked stunning as ever in the photo as she posed for the camera. Wilson is living proof that women do not need makeup to look beautiful.

"#tbt summer," the "Runaway Bride" actress captioned the post that is now breaking the internet as her fans immediately showered her with praise in the comments section.

One person wrote that Wilson, who received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2019, is a natural beauty, while another fan simply described the actress as a lovely lady.

The actress seems to have put her stressful COVID-19 experience completely behind her. Wilson and her husband, Tom Hanks, tested positive for the virus in March. A month ago, the actress chatted with ET via Zoom and shared her painful experience with the dreaded virus.

"First you thought, 'Oh, I've got a fever,' but the chills then added onto that," Wilson said. She added that her body ached way more than the flu throughout the challenging experience.

Along with her husband, Wilson was taken to a hospital, where the couple's temperatures, organs, and blood were monitored. According to the actress, she had a headache that was very painful the whole time.

In July, Wilson and Hanks have officially become citizens of Greece.

Wilson went on to explain that she also had vertigo and lost her sense of taste and smell. On the other hand, Hanks was not showing a symptom that doctors and people were aware of.

Luckily, the health of the couple, who has been living joyfully together for more than three decades, is already back to normal. Their concerned fans were delighted with the good news.

In July, Wilson and Hanks have officially become citizens of Greece, as revealed by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in an Instagram post. Mitsotakis shared a photo of himself and the couple while they held up their new passports.

The actress is of Greek descent via her mother, Dorothea. She found out about the extent of her heritage on an episode of the hit genealogy documentary series, "Who Do You Think You Are?"

Back in April, Wilson shared a sweet tribute to Hank, celebrating their 32nd wedding anniversary. She uploaded a sweet picture of the couple snuggling up in front of a mountain.

Wilson and Hanks, who has been married since 1988, have two sons named Chester and Truman. Before her, the Oscar-winner actor was married to Samantha Lewes, whom he divorced in 1987.
