Casey Goode's Husband Gives Update on Their Newborn Son's Health after He Contracted COVID-19

Former "American Idol" contestant, Casey Goode's husband, Alex, has shared updates on his Instagram story on the health of their newborn son, who tested positive for COVID-19.

Goode and her husband Alex welcomed their son Maximillian in September but were thrown into total shock after discovering that he tested positive for COVID-19. This happened shortly after his release from the neonatal intensive care unit.

Alex has come out to give updates on the health of their son in a video which he shared on his Instagram story. He also spoke about how his wife, Casey has been handling the difficult situation.

"Mama & Max will stay in the PICU again tonight. He is on oxygen, but his temperature and blood pressure are normal," Alex wrote while captioning one of the videos.

He further thanked fans for their messages and support and acknowledged that they have been inspiring and helpful while admitting that they cannot respond to all the messages. Alex's caption read:

"Thank you. It will be all Goode."

Alex revealed that Casey was completely overwhelmed and exhausted after being quarantined with their two weeks old son for the past three days. Casey shared the news of her son's COVID-19 diagnosis on Sunday in an Instagram post.

Casey said they had confirmation that their little son was exposed from direct contact with a medical professional who had cared for him earlier in the week. She further revealed that she was receiving treatment as if she had been exposed and likely positive as well.

Although she confirmed that she was showing no symptoms yet, Casey asked her fans to send good energy to her little son while admitting she had no idea what would happen next. The new mom added that she and will be offline while he recovers.

CASEY'S BIRTH STORY

Casey reportedly said she did not have it easy during the birth of Max. According to sources, she was diagnosed with a liver condition called cholestasis and preeclampsia.

She shared her dramatic birth story on Instagram, saying she labored for 12 hours and pushed for 30 minutes. While Goode and her family are the latest to battle the COVID-19 threat, they are not the only celebrities to have gone through the scary experience of the virus.
