The touching caption accompanied a sweet selfie showing Parker and Sidibe. The two beautiful women sat side by side. Sidibe sat closer to the camera wearing a gorgeous blue printed outfit with elaborate flower designs on it. She rocked long dark braids and chic white earrings to elevate her look.
The birthday girl, Parker, only stuck her head in for the photo, but her stunning blonde locks and piercing gaze were more than enough.
Sidibe's fans and followers absolutely loved the photo and commented just as much while joining the actress to wish her friend a happy birthday.
The younger actress appreciated the dynamic that she and Parker operated as co-stars; they got to have their own meetings and call the shots.
Sidibe and Parker solidified their friendship while acting in the prime-time soap opera, "Empire," as two incredible lead females who ran their own music label together.
Parker's role came along sometime in the fourth season of the series and both actresses performed excellently in bringing their characters to life. Sidibe gushed about her time with Parker in a Parade exclusive:
"Nicole is so funny and truly one of my best friends here in Chicago. And I love being fierce, strong women together."
The younger actress appreciated the dynamic that she and Parker operated as co-stars; they got to have their own meetings and call the shots, as opposed to the typical female roles who saved the day on behalf of other people.
In an E! exclusive interview, Sidibe revealed that her favorite behind-the-scenes moment was when she stood by to watch an episode that she directed.
She came up with the idea of including an African theme with different people from various nationalities, shapes, and sizes. Realizing how far she had made it, Sidibe admitted to E! that she found herself crying.
Her former co-star, Parker, is also making waves in the movies. The 50-year-old was reportedly set to join the cast of "Chicago P.D." to shed more light on the recent times in the country as the show hoped to tackle police reform.
