Andy Cohen & Anderson Cooper Embrace Being Playground Dads during a Playdate with Their Sons
Best pals Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper celebrate being playground partners with a new Instagram photo as their sons, Ben and Wyatt, enjoy a fun playdate.
Good friends and colleagues Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper are bonding more than ever thanks to their adorable mini-mes, Ben and Wyatt. A recent Instagram photo is proof of that.
Over the weekend, the doting fathers stepped out for the first time in a long time to enjoy an outdoor playdate with their boys. Cohen shared a lovely selfie from the outing that showed him and Cooper at Greenwich Village in New York.

The “Watch What Happens Live” host was clad in a colorful knit sweater over a gray t-shirt and a baseball cap while the CNN journalist wore a simple navy blue jacket over a black shirt. The buddies were all smiles as they pulled down their masks to pose for the camera.
According to reports, Cohen and Cooper first met in the ‘90s when they were set up by a mutual friend on a blind date.
Although the boys weren’t in the image, the accompanying caption read, “Playground Dads!” while Cohen revealed to fans where he got his sweater from.
The lovely photo garnered thousands of likes and several comments from fans who were glad that the fathers finally had a physical playdate in such a long time. One fan gushed:
“You guys are so handsome and adorable! Can you please make it official! We need this kind of love story right now.“
The playground date isn’t the first time the toddlers have met in person after many virtual meetings during the quarantine. Wyatt and Ben met late last month, and the “Anderson Cooper 360°” host spoke about it during an appearance on “Live with Kelly and Ryan.” The doting father said:
“They met for the first time a couple of weeks ago, up in Connecticut. It was cool. I don’t really know if Wyatt even understands who [Ben] is, but he was sort of fascinated by him.”
Cooper also noted that Cohen’s 1-year-old son was sweet to Wyatt and playfully poked him during their meeting. It comes as no surprise that even at such young ages, Wyatt and Ben are toeing the line that their fathers have when it comes to their tight friendship.
According to reports, Cohen and Cooper first met in the ‘90s when they were set up by a mutual friend on a blind date. However, after a phone call to plan their date, Cooper decided that he wasn’t interested in the then-CBS reporter.
Despite a bad start, the duo’s friendship began budding whenever they ran into each other. Coincidentally, they were part of a group of celebrities who often traveled the world, and the pair have been tight buds ever since.
