DWTS Alum Peta Murgatroyd Reveals She Had to Rush to Therapy after Monday's Show — Here's Why
"Dancing With the Stars" pro dancer and alum Peta Murgatroyd took to Twitter to explain her absence on the show's October 12 episode after sustaining an injury.
"Dancing With the Stars" viewers might not have noticed anything during Peta Murgatroyd's flawless performance on the October 12 episode, but according to the dancer, she sustained an injury to her neck and had to leave immediately after. She wrote on Twitter:
"Sorry everyone tonight on @DancingABC. I was absent from our spots after our dance. I pulled my neck and had to run to therapy."

Murgatroyd assured her fans that she was going to be okay and explained that her immediate exit was necessary because she needed to have the pain examined.
The dancer thanked fans who noticed her absence for their concern and wrote that she could not wait to return to the dance floor for her performance in the next episode. The dancer's fans responded to her tweet with kind and assuring words.
Some viewers of the show claimed to have spotted the exact moment she snapped her neck and held it in discomfort. The fans and viewers expressed their well wishes to her and hoped that she would get better quickly to deliver yet another perfect performance.
Kaitlyn Bristowe hurt her ankle while rehearsing for the season's first episode.
In the episode, Murgatroyd and her celeb partner, Vernon Davis, hit the stage for the show's 80's-themed episode with a perfect tango routine to Bon Jovi's smooth classic, "Livin' On A Prayer." Reacting to the news of Murgatroyd's injury, judge Carrie Ann Inaba exclusively expressed her shock and said to ET:
"It's the '80s. There's hazard pay involved, with the wigs and stuff. You could definitely tweak a neck with '80s [routines]. But I hope she's OK, most importantly."
Murgatroyd's injury came weeks after her fellow contestant, Kaitlyn Bristowe, hurt her ankle while rehearsing for the season's first episode and weeks after she addressed the change of hosts in the new season.
Murgatroyd reacted to the news of the exits of the show's long-time hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews in a July exclusive with Us Weekly and admitted that she was shocked and sad to see the familiar faces leave the show.
The show kicked off on September 14 with Tyra Banks as the new host, and so far, Murgatroyd had been doing an excellent job of bringing her best each week.
The Australian ballroom dancer is currently married to fellow dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who she reportedly met at her Broadway dance show, "Burn the Floor."
The cute couple reside in their beautiful Los Angeles home with their adorable toddler son, Shai. They make such a beautiful family, and to make them proud, Murgatroyd is doing her best to get well and fully recuperated for her next time on DWTS.
