In 2024, Wiz Khalifa was in the middle of entertaining fans in Thailand when an audience member's actions prompted him to stop the show and address the situation directly.

Video circulating online showed the rapper performing at an afterparty hosted by Rolling Loud Thailand at Club 808. After wrapping up a performance of his hit song "Black and Yellow," he turned his attention to a man in the crowd who had been throwing money onto the stage.

While making it clear that he appreciated the support from those in attendance, Khalifa explained that the fan's gesture crossed a line. "I wanna show love to everybody in here," he told the crowd before adding:

"But there's one person that I need to talk to is this guy right here. Stop throwing money on the stage. I'm not no stripper, dawg. Quit throwing money on stage. Keep your money. It's your money."

Rather than letting the cash remain onstage, the rapper instructed venue staff to gather the bills and return them to the fan. He then jokingly suggested the money could be thrown at women or his friends instead, reiterating that it did not belong onstage because, as he put it, he was not a dancer.

Moments later, he moved on with the show and launched into "We Dem Boyz." The clip quickly made the rounds online, where many found humor in the contrast between his comments and what happened immediately afterward.

One person commented, "I'm not a dancer. then proceeds to dance 😂 [sic]," while another shared, "Music stops, 'Stop throwing money at me I'm not a dancer.' Music drops, Wiz starts dancing! 😂😁 [sic]."

Others questioned the rapper's reasoning altogether, as one netizen typed, "I'm [sic] mean you are an entertainer 🤷🏾‍♂️😆," suggesting that performing artists are still being paid to entertain a crowd regardless of how they are categorized.

Meanwhile, several reactions focused less on Khalifa's frustration and more on the amount of money involved. One commenter wrote, "They threw $123 USD😭😭," while another remarked, "That money is pocket change to Wiz bruh 🤣."

Some even volunteered to take the rejected cash themselves. "It's all Good Wiz I'll take that money😏 [sic]," one person joked.

Thailand Has Become a Familiar Stop for Khalifa

Although the awkward exchange generated headlines, the incident was only a small part of Khalifa's visit to Thailand. In fact, the rapper's connection to the country stretches back several years.

He first performed there in 2019, when he made his Thailand debut with shows in Bangkok and Phuket. At the time, the multi-Grammy Award-winning artist brought his catalog of hits, including "Black and Yellow" and "See You Again," to Thai audiences as part of a mini tour.

Five years later, he returned as one of the international names featured during the Rolling Loud Thailand festivities, demonstrating that his popularity in the country has remained strong.

Outside of the viral stage interruption, Khalifa appeared to enjoy his time there. During his trip, he shared a TikTok video showing off scenic views from what appeared to be a hillside property overlooking lush greenery and the coastline.

In the clip, the rapper walked around the balcony while taking in the surroundings and praising the destination. "Thailand is such a beautiful place," he wrote in the caption.

The video offered a much calmer snapshot of his experience in the country than the now-viral concert moment. While one fan's decision to toss money onstage briefly disrupted the festivities, Wiz Khalifa's social media activity suggested he left Thailand with plenty of positive memories as well.
