Prince Harry Reportedly Set to Return to the United Kingdom to Meet with Queen Elizabeth II
Reasons for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's return to the UK are manifold, but reports about the timing of their return show that the royal couple has various factors to consider.
Royal staff received instructions to ready Frogmore Cottage for the holidays, meaning Queen Elizabeth II would get to reunite with a part of her family she hasn't seen since early this year, Prince Harry and Meghan, and their son Archie.
When the holiday season started last year, Meghan and Prince Harry had already left the UK to spend their first Christmas together with Archie in Canada. But will the couple spend another Christmas away from the rest of the royal family?

BEFORE CHRISTMAS?
Because Prince Harry and Meghan spent the previous Christmas by themselves, they are considering spending it in the UK this year, an insider told Us Weekly. The only question is whether they will by traveling together while the source added:
“There’s a lot of tradition surrounding the holidays with his family, and they both have really loved that in the past.”
According to the insider, Prince Harry is very excited to have Archie spent time with his grandmother in person, seeing that they've been having so much fun over the regular Zoom video calls.
Meghan will be required to quarantine in the UK for two weeks before appearing.
BEFORE THE NEW YEAR?
The novel coronavirus is reportedly also a big consideration in the couple's travel plans. Health regulations would require them to adhere to a mandatory quarantine period, so another source told Vanity Fair that Prince Harry and Meghan might only hop over the pond with Archie before the New Year.
The source added that Prince Harry and Meghan planned on returning to the UK at least once again this year but said that the royal couple is looking forward to their first Christmas together at their new Santa Barbara home.
WHY MEGHAN NEEDS TO RETURN TO THE UK
Another factor that weighs in on the royal couple's decision on when to make their trip is the date Meghan has to be back in the UK to appear in court in connection with her lawsuit against Associated Newspapers.
If current health regulations flow over into the new year, Meghan will be required to quarantine in the UK for two weeks before appearing in High Court on January 11.
Her lawsuit against the tabloid is over publishing private correspondence she had with her dad, Thomas Markle.
CONTRARY TO POPULAR OPINION
With Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's exit as senior working members of the royal family came rumors and reports that it caused a rift in the family. But that is reportedly not the case.
According to a royal source, the family feud projected is not an accurate representation of the relationship the Sussexes have with the rest of the royals. In fact, the pandemic caused them to bond more as a family.
