New mom Meghan McCain remembered her late father, John McCain, as she showed off a unique and impressive painting tribute of him that was spotted in a restaurant.
As television show host Meghan McCain basks in motherhood with the birth of her daughter, Liberty, the legacy of her late father, Senator John McCain, fuels her joy even more. Over the weekend, Meghan took to Instagram to warm fans’ hearts with a touching tribute dedicated to her father.
“The View” co-host shared a captivating photo of a painting that showed her father as a bartender smiling and cleaning a mug, while a pretty saloon girl stood in front of him, donning a flirty purple ensemble.

There was also a pig, wearing a sheriff’s heart sitting by John’s side. The unusual painting was one that indeed caught Meghan’s attention as she explained how she came about it in the accompanying caption, which read:
“My brother Jimmy sent me this picture of a painting of my Dad as a saloon bartender seen in an Arizona restaurant.... definitely one of the more creative tributes!”
She concluded with a subtle joke about not being sure if the saloon girl represented her mother, Cindy McCain. The lovely post caused quite a stir among her followers, who couldn’t decide if the saloon girl was her mother or Meghan herself. Others fondly remembered the impact of her father and lauded the rare tribute.

This new phase of motherhood has been particularly poignant for Meghan as it has not only given her immense joy but helped deal with the loss of her father, who died from brain cancer in 2018.
In a touching post to commemorate the birth of her baby girl, Meghan shared an idyllic photo of a blanket and wrote in the caption how having Liberty changed her life for the better.
She spoke about how the cliche statements about the joys of motherhood were true and how it has helped her deal with the grief from her father’s demise. In her words:
“This is the first time since my Dad passed that the part of my heart that broke off and left with him no longer feels missing.”
While little Liberty is helping her mother heal, unfortunately, the McCain family was struck with a tragedy on October 12 when John’s mother, Roberta McCain passed away at 108.
Meghan honored her grandmother in a heartfelt tribute on social media, praising the matriarch for teaching her life lessons that have molded her. She also expressed her hurt that she wasn’t able to meet her great-granddaughter before she passed.
Fans may recall that Meghan and her husband Ben Domenech welcomed their baby girl on September 28 but didn’t share her photo until two and a half weeks after.
