Watch DWTS' Derek Hough Blow up the Stage in a Fiery Dance Return with Girlfriend Hayley Erbert
Derek Hough showed why he holds the record for the most wins as a pro on "Dancing With The Stars" when he set the stage on fire with his dancing partner Hayley Erbert.
For the first time since 2017, Derek Hough took to the floor on "Dancing With The Stars" on Monday evening, and his ballroom number with his girlfriend of the last five years, Hayley Erbert, ignited the stage.
Viewers got used to Hough assisting as a judge on the reality dance competition for its 29th season, replacing Len Goodman, who served as a longtime head judge on the show.
HOUGH'S RETURN
While Hough is now a permanent fixture on the judging panel, he last served as a dancing pro on the show's 23rd season. Travel restrictions due to the novel coronavirus left Goodman unable to travel to the set for filming, leaving the door open for a fresh face.
His partnership with celeb Marilu Henner earned the pair a finish in sixth place, but even after all this time away from the "DWTS" dance floor, he still holds the record for the most wins.

He made it clear it won't happen that way.
The reason for his impressive record became clear on Monday evening when he danced the Paso Doble with Erbert. Setting the floor on fire to the Taalbi Brothers song "Uccen," they both looked spectacular dressed in red and black, respectively.
WHEN WILL THE QUESTION POP?
Hough and Erbert are a popular couple on "DWTS," and since they've been dating for five years, it had fans wonder whether Hough would propose after their return to the stage on Monday night. Even though fans were hopeful, it didn't happen, and for one simple reason.
While answering questions during a "juicy questions" video on YouTube, the couple laughed when they explained that a proposal like that is simply not their style. While Hough didn't spill how he would propose, he made it clear it won't happen that way.
SUPPORT FROM FELLOW DANCERS
Erbert and Hough are not the only lovebirds that form a part of the dancing pros on "DWTS." Jenna Johnson and her husband Val Chmerkovskiy find themselves isolating separately until taping of the show finishes, and she reckons Hough to be a "great" addition to the judging panel.
“I think he is brilliant, and I absolutely love that there is someone from our end now sitting in the judges' seat because they can relate," Johnson told HollywoodLife during a recent interview.
HAPPY IN LOVE
Thankfully, Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy got to celebrate their first wedding anniversary together before they had to follow "DWTS" health regulations that called for them to go into isolation separately.
The couple's anniversary was back in April, and Chmerkovskiy paid tribute to the special day by posting a cute picture taken of the newlyweds on their wedding day eating cake in bed.
