Here's Why Tyrese Gibson Says He Loves Being a Girl Dad, but Also Can't Wait to Have a Son

Musician turned actor, Tyrese Gibson, recently disclosed with an adorable post on social media why he desires a son despite being the father of two sweet girls.

"Fast & Furious" star Tyrese Gibson is a talented entertainer who transitioned from music to acting. However, much more than bringing fans joy, Gibson loves being a father to his two girls. However, he sometimes wishes he has a mini-me.

The proud father-of-two recently revealed to fans on Instagram why he wants a son. The 41-year-old shared a picture of him fist-bumping a young boy sitting on the bonnet of his luxurious car.

The star was dressed casually in a navy blue hoodie with matching white joggers and sneakers. His sporty look was completed with a gold watch and shades. The little boy was dressed in a matching green hoodie and trousers with blue Nike shoes.

In 2019, the "Lately" singer filed a complaint against his ex-wife for violating the terms of their joint custody.

The father-of-two captioned the post with a lengthy message where he explained that the boy had been gawking at his car which prompted Gibson to place him on top of it. As for why he would like a son, in his words:

"Just a father who's a full on #GirlDad who can't wait to have a son….. I'm SO alpha I have to pass this alpha off to a son!!!!!"

In 2018, the actor was in a custody battle with his ex-wife Norma Gibson over their daughter Shayla. During their long custody battle, Norma accused Gibson of allegedly hitting their child and requested a restraining order.

However, her claims were rejected by the court. A judge also ruled in Gibson's favor, putting a limit on the child support costs Norma could bill the actor for. The ruling excluded Gibson from paying for child care costs incurred, like babysitting, whenever his ex-wife was not working.

Despite the minor victory, the legal battle continued. In 2019, the "Lately" singer filed a complaint against his ex-wife for violating the terms of their joint custody when she allowed their daughter to sleep over at a friend's place instead of Shayla staying with him.

Norma is legally obligated to let Gibson spend time with their daughter when she was unavailable and according to the actor, this was her second violation as he discovered she had posted pictures of Shayla on social media. They had a previous agreement against it.

Amid the dispute, the "Baby Boy" actor welcomed his second daughter with his wife Samantha Lee Gibson on October 1, 2018. The 41-year-old announced the news with a picture of the baby's footprints on Instagram.

He revealed his daughter's name in the caption as Soraya Lee Gibson and thanked God for his blessings. Samantha announced she was expecting in April and according to the actor, he reacted to the news excitedly.
