Ant Anstead Jokes about Not Being Able to Hold onto a Wife after Christina Filed for Divorce
The “Wheelers Dealers” star will add a career change to the personal changes he has been experiencing amid his very publicized divorce, and he sees it as a metaphor for his private life.
41-year-old English TV presenter Ant Anstead is going through his second divorce less than two years after marrying 37-year-old media personality Christina Anstead, but he has recently proved that he can’t still laugh at himself.
In addition to the big change in his life that the split meant for Ant, he also announced that he will be leaving the show that brought him to the US in 2017, “Wheelers Dealers,” to focus on other TV projects.

After announcing his departure from the car-themed series on November 2, 2020, Ant joined his “Wheelers Dealers” co-star Mike Brewer, and Formula One mechanic Marc Priestley, who will take Ant’s place in the show, in a remote conversation to discuss the future of the series, which will return to the UK.
When Brewer was sharing his feelings about not working with Ant anymore, gushing on their “amazing bromance” and fearing he won’t be able to “hold onto” the mechanics without him, Ant couldn’t help but make a comment about his divorce.
In a heartbreaking Instagram post, Ant said that he had remained silent because he hadn’t given up hope about giving his marriage with Christina a second chance, but that he had ultimately accepted the decision and wished her the best.
“People say that about me and my wives!” Ant said with a cheeky smile on his face, making Priestley uncomfortably laugh while Brewer tried to continue with his heartfelt goodbye to his co-star.
Brewer also advanced that Ant was probably be making occasional appearances on the show whenever he has the chance to visit the UK, which Ant revealed will be frequent next year because of some projects he is developing.
CAREER MOVE
Ant shared some details about his career’s immediate future, sharing with Brewer and Priestley that he has already started working on three new car-related shows back in the UK, but he apologized about not being able to reveal any more yet.
On October 1, Ant dropped another clue about what his next career move will be, sharing on his Instagram Stories that he was signing a new TV contract for 2021 with Discovery Inc. owner of several important networks.
FILING FOR DIVORCE
As Ant looks forward to his upcoming TV projects to continue expanding his career, Christina continues to move forward with the finalization of their marriage, and on November 3, a month after announcing the separation, she finally filed for divorce from Ant.
The divorce plans’ announcement came just a year after Ant and Christina welcomed their only son together, Hudson London Anstead, who, as Christina said, will remain the former couple’s priority.
It was only a week after Christina made the unfortunate announcement on her social media that Ant broke his silence about what he called Christina’s decision to end the marriage.
In a heartbreaking Instagram post, Ant said that he had remained silent because he hadn’t given up hope about giving his marriage with Christina a second chance, but that he had ultimately accepted the decision and wished her the best.
