Gymnast Simone Biles Shows off Her Natural Beauty Posing in This Stunning Makeup-Free Selfie

Fresh-faced Olympic gymnast Simone Biles gave off carefree energy in a recent post on her Instagram page. The natural beauty looked cozy and stunning in a makeup-free selfie.

Simone Biles is no stranger to superstardom, but recently she showed her fans that she likes to keep it simple. The gold medalist posed for a photo wearing a black sweater and matching black beanie. Her face looked flawless as her long, dark hair flowed effortlessly past her shoulders.

This is not the only time Biles has gone bare-faced. The four-time Olympic gold medalist says she prefers to go natural most of the time because of her hectic training schedule, using make-up only to enhance her look. She told Vogue:

“Going into a competition does makeup make me feel better? Yes. But it’s what I do out there on the floor that really, really matters.”

When she does wear make-up, the 23-year-old prefers to apply her own make-up. Her routine consists of a few items starting with a three product combination of SK-II products. She follows up with a Fenty foundation and eyeliner, Marc Jacobs mascara, a glittery gold eye-shadow, and Carmex lip balm.

Biles took on the mantra “Beauty is no competition” after joining forces with Japanese beauty company SK-II. Along with other professional female athletes, she aims to change beauty standards and expectations in the sports industry.

In an interview with Elle, Biles admitted, "I feel the most beautiful when I'm in my raw natural state.” The gymnast has, however, dealt with criticism over her looks her whole life.

Being in the spotlight often means much scrutiny and criticism for Biles, who received backlash for participating in a recent UberEats ad with “Queer Eye’s” Jonathan Van Ness. In the ad, Biles and Van Ness are wearing the same leotard.

Biles was unfazed by the negativity and defended her stance on the matter against the Christian group “One Million Moms,” vowing to continue supporting the LGBTQIA community.

Biles, 23, has other interests to focus her energy on lately. The self-proclaimed dog mom recently revealed her new boyfriend on her Instagram page, much to the delight of her fans.

The gymnast, whose relationship with longtime boyfriend, Stacey Ervin Jr, 26, ended in March this year, posted a selfie with her new beau, NFL player Jonathan Owens, 25.

While it seems Biles moved on very quickly from her last relationship, she admits that it was hard ending the two-year relationship, but it was ultimately the right decision. The new couple looks happy and makes a perfect match.
