Earlier this week, actress Phylicia Rashad took to Instagram to share a video of herself reading a poem. The actress, known for her days on the 80s sitcom "The Cosby Show," looked radiant as she channeled her acting skills to the project.

Rashad's clip showed her offering a rendition of "On Aging," a poem written by the famous poet and activist Maya Angelou decades ago. Interestingly, the actress showed herself to be the symbol of ageless beauty. Despite not having any makeup on, she looked stunning.

Dressed in what appeared to be a white and blue dress, Rashad had nothing on her face – save for two stud earrings and what looked like minimal lipstick. She captioned the video:

"Maya Angelou's "On Aging" is one of my favorite poems. ❤️ It was a gift to recite it with Obie Award-winner, @AlexandriaWailesOfficial for The Scan Foundation's 2020 Forum."

The poem focused primarily on the dynamic between a person and their age, explaining how aging brings growth and evolution. With her soothing voice and raw emotion with every line, Rashad offered a rendition that was sure to make Maya Angelou proud.

Rashad explained that she always knew her daughter would be an actress.

Rashad is undoubtedly one of the finest actresses of her generation. With several honors and Emmy nominations to her name, she has carved a place for herself in the entertainment industry.

The actress got her big break in the 80s, playing Clair Huxtable on "The Cosby Show." Since then, she has gone on to play several other roles and has even tried her hand at directing.

These days, however, Rashad is acting as the top cheerleader for her daughter, Condola. The apple did not seem to have fallen far from the tree, as Condola has also embarked on an acting career.

Condola first starred in "Ruined," an Off-Broadway production by Lynn Nottage that eventually won a Pulitzer Prize. She currently stars as Kate Sacker on the Showtime TV series, "Billions."

Speaking on her daughter's acting earlier this year, Rashad explained that she always knew her daughter would be an actress.

As she said, Condola had always been with her while she was working years back. Through such exposure, she gained an appreciation for the profession. Condola appears to have learned quite a lot, displaying quite the talent for acting on several occasions.
