Kim Kardashian has continued to post throwback photos and videos taken during her controversial 40th birthday vacation to a private island in French Polynesia, despite all the backlash she has been receiving.

Kardashian's extensive photo collection on Instagram shows all the highlights of her birthday trip, including partying on yachts, biking, a yellow bikini, and swimming in the ocean.

On Sunday, Kardashian posted a photo where she was posing in a one-piece yellow swimsuit with her husband, rapper Kanye West. She captioned the photo with a sun emoji.

The KKW mogul showed off her impressive physique, while her husband who lay back in a lounge chair, was dressed casually in a sweatshirt, black shorts, sunglasses, and a pair of Yeezy Foam Runners.

In late July, West raged about his wife and her family in since-deleted tweets. This led to Kardashian making a public statement about her husband's mental health wherein she added a plea for privacy and understanding.

Throughout 2020, the couple had come under intense tabloid speculation as to the survival of their marriage. Recently, they have been working on their relationship and seem to be on the mend.

The reality star came under intense criticism after revealing that she and her closest friends and family travelled out of the country.

The couple took some time to travel with their family after reconnecting in Wyoming. While in Colorado, Kardashian shared happy pictures of her husband, kids, and nephew, Reign, as well as the scenery.

During her birthday celebrations, West surprised her with a hologram of her late father, Robert Kardashian, who passed in 2003. She tweeted the video along with an emotional caption:

“For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. It is so lifelike! We watched it over and over, filled with emotion."
