Kelly Ripa's Birthday Tribute to ABC's David Muir Couldn't Be Any Sweeter — See It

The “Live with Kelly and Ryan” host celebrated another of her friend and colleague’s birthday with a touching and fun post that documents the times they have spent together.

ABC World News Tonight anchor David Muir turned 47 years old on November 8, 2020, and his best friend and colleague, 50-year-old actress, journalist, and TV show host Kelly Ripa made sure to mark the occasion on social media.

On Muir’s special day, Ripa took to her Instagram profile to share a slideshow of snapshots that picture Muir in different fun situations, with Ripa appearing in most of the images, hanging out with him.

In one photo, Muir and Ripa can be seen onboard a helicopter alongside Ripa’s 17-year-old son Joaquin, in another, Ripa and Muir pose for a selfie with actress Sarah Jessica Parker. Ripa captioned the post:

"Happy birthday to @davidmuirabc an indisputable American gem! You are so loved."

Muir was quick to respond to Ripa’s congratulatory birthday message, taking to the comments section of the post to joke about not being sure if Ripa and he had given back a baby with whom they are posing in on of the pictures, apart from sending love to Ripa and her husband and children.

Ripa continued the conversation with a nostalgic turn, asking Muir whether he remembered when it was possible to get together before the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to distance from each other.

Fans of Ripa and Muir also left their best birthday wishes for the latter in the comments section of the post, apart from showing their love for these two good friends by giving it more than 60,000 likes in the first two days.

“David Muir. May you continue to lead the way and do it with your special kind elegance and sensitivity,” wrote a user. “The calm in my storm. Happy day to you David,” a second person wrote. “What a man, what a mighty good man,” another fan added.

MISSING HER HUSBAND

It’s not only her close friends such as Muir that Ripa has been missing in recent months. While during the first months of lockdown she was forced to stay home with her husband Mark Consuelos and their children, they have recently been living separately.

While Ripa has returned to the studio to host “Live with Kelly and Ryan” in New York City, the 49-year-old actor resumed filming the drama series “Riverdale” in Vancouver, Canada, meaning they won’t see each other for a while.

Because of the travel restrictions, Consuelos is not able to fly back and forth like he used to, so the couple will have to do with a long-distance relationship for the time being.

Consuelos has made sure that his presence is still felt where it matters, and on November 7, he marked his wife’s 30th anniversary with Disney by sending her a huge bucket of roses, as she shared on social media back then.
