Following his debut as a coach on "The Voice" for its 18th season, Nick Jonas is back and ready to compete, teasing his hopes that his fellow judges stayed in practice.

TAKING OVER FROM GWEN STEFANI

Season 20 will see Blake Shelton, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Nick Jonas as coaches on "The Voice," as Gwen Stefani kept her pattern of coaching only odd-numbered seasons.

During his stint on the show for its 18th season, Jonas made it to the finals with Thunderstorm Artis, proving himself a force to be reckoned with. A point to ponder since the other judges first heard the news on November 17, when Carson Daly shared it on the "TODAY" show.

WHY NICK JONAS LEFT AFTER SEASON 18

While Jonas gave no explanation for leaving "The View" after one season, the reason could stem from the fact that he has Type 1 diabetes, as the condition can make him more at risk to infections such as COVID-19.

Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the singer's attention turned to his health, and as an extra precaution, he avoided the increased risk of contracting the virus where possible.

While the show teased with a clip of his return, Jonas himself made his intentions clear in a video post.

Putting the extra time to good use, Jonas also recently shared that he and his wife, Priyanka Chopra, indulged their philanthropic side and joined the "Feed" holiday campaign, who modeled several campaign items for them.

IN IT, TO WIN IT

However, now that Jonas is back on the coaching panel of "The Voice," he is committed to taking his chosen talent to the finish line once more. While the show teased with a clip of his return, Jonas himself made his intentions clear in a video post.

"Warriors never sleep. I’m back and ready to win this thing ? See you next season on @nbcthevoice!! PS - Hope you’ve been training @blakeshelton @kellyclarkson @johnlegend.... ? #TheVoice," Jonas teased in return.

A GROWING FAMILY

While Nick Jonas proclaimed himself a warrior who never sleeps, he can spend the extra time with Chopra and their new "fur child" the couple adopted back in August.

Already in love with their Husky Australian Shepard mix rescue dog, the couple posted a "family" snap that shows off the dog they decided to name Panda's stunning eyes.
