Soul legend Gladys Knight's husband William McDowell shared a sweet glimpse into their life with his Instagram followers by posting a snap with his wife.

Gladys Knight and her husband William McDowell have been together for 19 years, but it's easy to see that that spark is still burning bright. The soul icon is now 75 and as stunning and energetic as ever.

McDowell, who is 14 years younger than his wife, is clearly head over heels in love with Knight, and he recently shared a sweet glimpse into their lives together in an Instagram post.

SWEET LOVE

In the cute snap, Knight is in the foreground, wearing a stylish quilted jacket and glamorous dark glasses, and looking decades younger than her 75 years.

Standing behind her, McDowell is dressed in a plaid sweater, round John Lennon-style sunglasses, and a colorful headwrap. In his arms, he carries their cute pup, Peppa, a Norfolk terrier they both dote on.

McDowell and Knight married when the diva was well into her 50s, so they have no children of their own. However, the couple lavishes their love on their combined 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and are very active in their community in McDowell's home town in North Carolina.

Sadly, Knight has had some disappointments in her life, including with her son Shanga Hankerson who had used his mother's name to launch a chicken and waffles restaurant in Atlanta.

It turns out that Hankerson had been playing fast and loose with the books and ended up pocketing over $650,000 and owing the IRS over $1 million in taxes. Knight was forced to take her son to court to remove her name from the restaurant's and cut off all ties with the business.
