Xisca Perelló and Rafael Nadal Got Married Last Year — Who Is the Tennis Star's Stunning Wife?
Rafael Nadal, 34, married his girlfriend of 14 years after keeping their relationship away from public knowledge. Both are natives of Mallorca, and that's exactly where they chose to celebrate their marriage.
In 2019, the world tennis champion, several times ranked No. 1 in the world, married María Francisca “Xisca” Perelló, his compatriot and girlfriend from his early twenties.
The couple met through the tennis player's younger sister, Maribel, as the two women studied together in high school and college. However, the couple began dating in 2005, when he was 19, and she was 17.

For several years, they managed to keep their relationship away from public knowledge. Perelló is very discreet and fiercely protects her privacy. It wasn't until 2008 that the couple was photographed together in their native Mallorca.
According to people who know her, Nadal's wife is a very smart woman with a good head on her shoulders. She's not the type to party around nightclubs or show off designer items, and she doesn't seem to be interested in fame or glamour.
WHO IS NADAL'S WIFE?
Nadal is one of the best-known figures in world sport with his impressive record, but his wife is a woman bordering on the mysterious. During the years they were dating, she practically never talked about her relationship with the media.
Perelló is a business graduate. It is known that she worked for an insurance company and that she is a key figure in the foundation that her husband created more than ten years ago. She also works at the Rafael Nadal Tennis Academy in Mallorca.
ENGAGED AND MARRIED
After 14 years together, Nadal proposed to his girlfriend while the couple was on vacation in Rome in May 2019. The date chosen by the couple for the ceremony was October of that same year.
The wedding was held on the island of Mallorca in La Fortaleza, facing the sea, with 350 guests, including sports and entertainment celebrities in attendance. The bride wore a dress by designer Rosa Clará, and the groom chose to wear all-gray.
CHILDREN, YES OR NO?
Nadal has been very open about how he loves the idea of having children and considers himself a family man. However, he is currently fully committed to his sports career.
He wants to finish his career as a professional tennis player and then dedicate himself to starting a family with his wife. The athlete and his wife agree that he should have the time to dedicate himself to his children without having to leave them because of work.
STRONG RELATIONSHIP
Something that has surprised the tennis player's followers is that his partner of 14 years was not in the habit of accompanying him to competitions. At some events, she was seen in the stands, but she was not a recurring presence.
Perelló has explained that it is important to give her husband space and that demanding his attention all the time would not only distract him from his sports commitments and affect his performance, but it would also negatively affect their relationship.
QUARANTINE
During the quarantine period in Spain, the Nadal couple could be seen together with relatives spending time together on the luxurious catamaran, owned by the athlete.
The cameras captured the spouses with Maribel, Nadal's sister, and her father onboard the boat while they cleaned it and got ready to go sailing. It is a boat that can accommodate 12 passengers and all the comforts for long trips at sea.
