Michael Strahan Shows off Heartwarming Photos of a Date Night with His Teen Twin Daughters

The “Good Morning America” longtime co-anchor is very close to all his children, and he recently proved how delighted he is to spend quality time with his two youngest in a social media post.

49-year-old former football player and TV host Michael Strahan is a proud father of four children shared with his two ex-wives, namely Wanda Hutchins (1992-1996), and Jean Muggli (1999-2006).

While Michael’s older children, Tanita and Michael Jr., shared with Hutchins, are already adults who live on their own and are pursuing their own lives, he still gets to spend time with his daughters with Muggli, 16-year-old twins Sophia and Isabella.

Now that Sophia and Isabella are getting closer to graduating from high school and leaving for college, as well as using the opportunity given by the months of lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Michael cherishes every minute spent with them.

On November 26, 2020, Michael took to his Instagram feed to document one of these simple but unforgettable family moments, this time enjoying a dining date at home with his two teenage girls on Thanksgiving.

In the post consisting of two different snapshots, we can see first a joint selfie showing Michael and his daughters, and then a closer portrait of Sophia and Isabella posing for the camera with their beautiful smiles. Michael captioned the post:

“Date night!!! How luck am I??”

The former NFL star didn’t forget about his two older children, and he made sure to let them know that he always keeps them with him in his heart by tagging them in the caption as well, adding two red-heart emojis.

The post earned Michael nearly 50,000 likes in the first 24 hours of its publication, and several of his fans and followers took to the comments section to share their reactions with the star.

“Beautiful family! Happy Thanksgiving!” a user wrote. “Pretty young ladies!!,” wrote another person. “Enjoy your time together and holiday weekend,” a third follower wished the famous family.

DIVORCE AND CUSTODY BATTLE

While Michael’s divorce from his second wife, Muggli, was finalized in 2006, the former couple has been involved in an ugly custody battle over Sophia and Isabella, with Michael eventually accusing Muggli of physically and emotionally abusing the twins.

According to the court documents on the case, Michael claimed that this “pattern of abusive conduct” went on for years, and he was demanding primary custody of his daughters, who used to live in North Carolina with their mother.

This is not the first accusation exchanged by the former husband and wife, with Muggli having previously accused him of committing domestic violence against her.

While Michael recently settled the case about Muggli’s alleged abusive behavior, agreeing to dismiss the claims and also reaching a custody deal that involves Muggli and the twins being required to move to New York City where Michael lives, there is another case about child support that is still open.
