Chris Brown's Mom Joyce Hawkins Praises Him for Overcoming Adversity in an Emotional Tribute

The sweet relationship between singer Chris Brown and his mother Joyce Hawkins was on display once again when she took to her Instagram page to post a lovely tribute to him.

Joyce Hawkins, the adorable mother of singer Chris Brown, is ever so proud of her famous son and shared her feelings for him in a loving tribute on her Instagram page. In the post's caption, Hawkins wrote:

"MY ANGEL!!!! I JUST WANTED TO LET THE WORLD KNOW HOW SPECIAL YOU ARE TO ME AND HOW PROUD I AM OF YOU!!!"

Hawkins noted that Brown had gone through many adversities but has remained standing through it all. She gave him a standing ovation for being resilient and never giving up before adding:

"THANK YOU FOR NEVER GIVING UP!!! YOU ARE MY STRONG BLACK KING!!! GOD BLESS YOU!! NEVER FORGET TO PRAISE YOUR BABIES!!! THEY DESERVE IT!!"

Concluding her post, Hawkins admonished her son to never hesitate in telling his kids when they are wrong and love them as much as he could. Accompanying the post was a cute picture of Brown and his mother from earlier in his career.

Since giving birth to Brown on May 5, 1989, Hawkins has been with her son until his rise to fame, even during his challenging periods when he struggled with multiple legal battles.

Hawkins said Brown was her angel with broken wings and that she loved him so much.

One of the tumultuous times Brown faced in his career was during his assault on his ex-girlfriend and singer Rihanna. It marked the beginning of many issues he would go on to have with the law.

In a recently republished interview from 2012, Rihanna said she and Brown were rebuilding their relationship and were close friends and would always love each other. Though the ex-lovers never came back as a couple, they remain friends.

Brown moved from one legal trouble to the other during that period of his life. One time after the singer was ordered to go back to rehab following another scandal, his concerned mother broke her silence on his misdemeanors.

Hawkins said Brown was her "angel with broken wings" and that she loved him so much. She also said her son had fallen into the wrong crowd and was surrounded by people who spent time with him for his money and fame.

Brown was able to get over his troubles with the law and rebuild his musical career. He is a father to two adorable kids, a daughter Royalty, who he shares with his ex-girlfriend, Nia Guzman, and a son, Aeko, who he shares with Ammika Harris.

The singer adores his kids and usually shares pictures of them on Instagram. In October, he shared a snapshot of Royalty and her baby brother chilling in the pool.

Hawkins never lost faith in Brown and is most delighted with how he was able to turn his career around. The proud mom has every reason to pay him tribute and will undoubtedly continue to do so.
