'Grey's Anatomy' Fans Plead to Bring Back Lexie Grey after George O'Malley's Return
Top TV series "Grey's Anatomy" has recently been on a nostalgia spree, with several of its original and fan-favorite characters returning for appearances. A majority of fans are now letting their voices be heard over who they want back.
Earlier this week, "Grey's Anatomy" shared a nostalgic picture on Instagram as the show continues its 17th season. The picture featured Ellen Pompeo and T. R Knight, who play Meredith Grey and George O'Malley, respectively.
The actor eventually returned for a dream sequence, with Pompeo's Meredith Grey slipping in and out of consciousness as she battles the novel coronavirus.

In what was a truly tear-jerking, nostalgic moment, Meredith and George spent some time talking on a beach as they reminisced presumably about good times.
The show eventually shared the snap of Pompeo and Knight in a behind-the-scenes special. Captioning it, "Grey's Anatomy," wrote:

Knight has not appeared on "Grey's Anatomy" for a while. His character, George O'Malley, was an intern who left the show in 2009. However, O'Malley eventually died at the end of season 5.
His death occured when he saved a woman from being hit by a bus. At the time, he had grown into quite the fan-favorite.
While Meredith struggled to accept Lexie at first, they eventually formed a close bond.

While many appreciated the show of nostalgia that the picture provided, several fans soon demanded that the show bring back Lexie Grey, another of the show's characters.
Played by actress Chyler Leigh, Lexie was Meredith's half-sister. She was first introduced in season three but died in season eight. One fan said in the comment section:
"Bring Lexie Grey pls."

Lexie was Meredith's long-lost sister who eventually came on the show. While Meredith struggled to accept Lexie at first, they eventually formed a close bond.
In just five years, Lexie grew on fans quite a lot. Her story was relatable, and many fans loved her cheerful personality.
Lexie's addition will undoubtedly be another high point for what has been a string of reprisals on the 17th season. It began with Derek Shepherd, played by Patrick Dempsey.
For now, the showrunners of "Grey's Anatomy" have refused to comment on who they will be bringing back to the show. Fans have declared that they want Lexie, but there are a lot of characters that could still be brought back.
