Popular actress Natalie Desselle, best known for her roles in "Eve," "Madea's Big Happy Family," and "B*A*P*S," has died following a battle with colon cancer. She was 53.
The actress's passing was announced in a statement released by her family on Instagram. There, it was revealed that Desselle passed away on Monday morning.

In the statement, Desselle was described as a bright light and a queen. Her family also said she was an extraordinary wife and mother to her kids.
They continued by noting that her career touched many lives and she would always be loved. The statement came to an end with her family asking for privacy to grieve their loss.
She was heartbroken by Desselle's passing.
Shortly after sharing the sad news, fans and followers took to the comments section where they shared their condolences and noted how much the actress would be missed.
Desselle's fans are not the only ones that will miss her, as some of her former co-stars have taken to social media to share how devastated they are by the loss.
Halle Berry, who starred alongside the late actress in the 1997 classic comedy "B.A.P.S" revealed that she was heartbroken by Desselle's passing.
Berry described her former co-star as one of the most precious people she ever met and added that they shared a great connection that could not be explained.
