The Kardashian-Jenner clan is putting an end to all parties for the rest of the year. Months after two family members faced backlash for throwing parties deemed reckless, the reality family intends to dial things down.

Yesterday, Khloé Kardashian revealed that the annual Christmas Eve party tradition wouldn’t take place this year. In what seemed like a Q&A session with fans on Twitter, Khloé explained the family’s decision.

“The Covid cases are getting out of control in CA. So we decided that we’re not doing a Christmas Eve party this year. It’s the first time we will not be having a Christmas Eve party since 1978.”

A heartbroken Khloé concluded, letting fans know that her family was putting health and safety first as they believe taking the pandemic seriously is compulsory.

Khloé’s revelation comes as a shock to fans of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” as less than a month ago, the mother-of-one informed a curious fan that the annual Christmas party wasn’t getting canceled.

She explained that the bash wouldn’t be as lavish as the previous ones as they would settle for a safe and small party. However, they planned to incorporate rapid testing for the guests.

Fans may recall that the Kardashian-Jenner clan was under a lot of heat after two lavish parties were thrown in October without adherence to the COVID-19 protocols.

First, Kim Kardashian-West flew her family and a group of her friends to a private Island to celebrate her 40th birthday. Later that month, Kendall Jenner threw a massive Halloween themed party for her 25th birthday.

In both instances, the family received criticism from angry fans, but they defended their decisions to hold large gatherings. Matriarch Kris Jenner noted that at both parties, the guests were thoroughly tested.

Despite the disappointment of missing out on this year’s party, Khloé remains hopeful. She followed up her tweet with a message assuring fans that next year’s Christmas Eve party would be remarkable.
