Coach Shelton expressed "You did it" after Jim Ranger's powerful and moving performance on "The Voice" which left fans and the judges completely stunned.
The 38-year-old is a resident of Bakersfield California. He describes himself as a husband, father, pastor, musician in his bio on his Twitter account, @Jimranger.

Ranger's love for music started when he was a small boy living with his parents in an RV as they drove to different festivals and churches to sing and preach. In his teen, he would discover his love for secular music.
This week on "The Voice" is fan's week and the show's contestants are set to impress the fans. Ranger opened the semi-finals episode with his cover of Nilsson's "Without You." A Twitter user posted this about his performance,
"I’m watching #TheVoice and Jim Ranger just ate that song up!!!!"
Coach Blake support Ranger's decision for this song choice as he felt that with Ranger's impressive vocal range he would be able to do the powerful song justice.
Blake turned toward the cameras after his performance to ask the audience to please vote for Ranger so that he and the viewers would be able to watch him perform again in the final.

Ranger had auditioned for the show to show his kids and prove that it was never too late for some to follow their dreams, he is living proof that someone should try for their dreams!
Ranger and his wife got married at the age of 20, the two have known each other since they were babies. The couple has 3 beautiful children together. Ranger works as a campus pastor.
Ranger is currently on the 19th season of "The Voice." Another powerful contender on the show this season is, Carter Ruban, who took to the stage this Monday with a cover of "Rainbow Connection" from "The Muppets Movie".
