Shanola Hampton Is a Doting Mom of 2 — What Is the Actress' Motherhood Experience?
For "Shameless" actress Shanola Hampton, being a devoted mom to her two children is by far her greatest achievement.
Actress Shanola Hampton, best known to audiences as Veronica Fisher in the sitcom "Shameless," is the proud mom of two children she shares with her husband, Daren Dukes.
But the road to parenthood wasn't always easy for the couple, and they went through a lot before welcoming a daughter, Cai MyAnna, 6, and a son, Daren, 4.

STRANGER THAN FICTION
Hampton has more in common with her character Veronica on "Shameless" than people may imagine. For years Veronica struggled to conceive, as did Hampton in real life.
Hampton revealed that when she fell pregnant, she informed producer John Wells who happily told her that Veronica's pregnancy was already part of the show's plotline for that season.

WELCOMING CAI MYANNA
Hampton delivered her daughter in January 2014, three days after she shot the scene in which Veronica gave birth to her own twin daughters Amy and Jemma. Hampton commented:
"There have been so many things on the show that mirror our own lives.”
GROWING THE FAMILY
Then in December 2015, Hampton and her husband of 20 years, Daren Dukes, announced that they were expecting their second child, a boy.
Little Daren Jr. arrived in May 2016, prompting his mother to say that now that they had a son and a daughter, she and her husband were "done."
Fans were stunned to note that Hampton was back to her svelte self just months after giving birth to baby Daren, and her secret was hitting the gym as soon as possible.
Even more important, Hampton revealed, was staying in shape throughout her entire pregnancy and working out until the day she delivered Daren.
Hardworking as she is, Hampton's priority is her children. The actress is the daughter of a pastor, and family values are very important to her.
Despite her hectic schedule, juggling her ongoing participation in "Shameless" with guesting on other shows and making movies, Hampton is first and foremost a devoted mom.
