Legendary actor Kevin Costner opened up about his future in the hit series, “Yellowstone,” revealing that he can’t say if he would be returning to the Paramount Network show.
With season 4 of the series “Yellowstone” in the works, Kevin Costner has dropped a significant revelation about his future on the drama series. When asked during an appearance on “Good Day New York” if he would be coming back, he said:
“I can’t say. There’s an ending that you’re gonna see, hopefully, it’s a powerful one for you.”
Refusing to explicitly say if he would be a part of season 4, Costner, who plays patriarch John Dutton, explained that he loves to be a part of projects with a dramatic arc. He then urged fans to enjoy the show up until the end if they could.
Season 3 of “Yellowstone” aired its finale on August 23. However, it didn't end without giving viewers something to look forward to.
Costner’s decision to be a part of a series came as a shocker to fans as the two-time Golden Globe winner has defined himself as a movie actor. However, he had no idea he would headline a hit series that would run for four seasons.
According to Deadline, "The Bodyguard" star assumed it would be a limited series, but when he read the script and found out that it would be longer, the 65-year-old chose to go for it even though it was outside his usual scope.
The legendary actor was also endeared to the show because he wouldn’t have to wear a suit because he doesn’t feel like he looks good in them. Season 3 of “Yellowstone” aired its finale on August 23.
However, it didn't end without giving viewers something to look forward to. The last episode ended with an epic cliffhanger that saw three Dutton family members fighting for their lives.
A bomb was detonated in Beth’s office while John and Kaycee were shot in different scenes. This has caused fans to wonder if they would get to see their favorite characters come season 4.
While major details about the upcoming season haven’t been released, actor Cole Hauser who plays Rip Wheeler, confirmed in November that he had finished filming season 4.
Also, Chief Joseph Ranch, where “Yellowstone” is usually filmed, reiterated Hauser’s revelation. They speculated that the premiere date would be in June 2021, following the patterns of previous seasons.
