Eve Says She Spent Years Adjusting to Being a Stepmom & Shares Hopes about Getting Pregnant
Rapper Eve recently opened up about becoming a stepmom to her husband, Maximillion Cooper’s four kids from a previous relationship: “They’ve grounded me.”
Being a mother in itself is a challenging task that takes a lot of getting used to, so when Eve married her British partner, Maximillion Cooper, and automatically became a stepmom to his four kids, she needed time to adjust.
In a recent interview, the rapper opened up about the years it took to build a relationship and adjust to life as a stepmom to Cash, Mini, Lotus, and Jagger.

When Eve and Cooper were still dating, she never thought their relationship would progress further, given his already big family. However, things changed when she met his kids. She said:
“I will say it took years, though, I’m not gonna lie. It did take two or three years to adjust, just our relationship with the kids, but I have to say I’m very lucky.”
Becoming a stepmother overnight was a significant change in the “Play On: Celebrating the Power of Music to Make Change” co-host, but it was a shift that made her feel blessed.

The “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” artist grew up with a stepdad in her younger years, which prepared her for life as a stepmom. Back then, questions ran through her head about why no one considered her feelings or opinions about her mom remarrying.
Another thing that put the Grammy Award-winning rapper at ease with motherhood was that her husband was a great father and role model to his children.

Eve, who made a living in America, plans to move to London with her husband and stepchildren after years of traveling back and forth every few weeks. She shared:
“Family, of course, that’s number one [...] and you gotta be on the same continent with your partner to have a kid! So hopefully this will help.”
A few months ago, Eve and Cooper celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary and took it to Instagram to share sweet tributes. The entrepreneur posted a throwback photo from their wedding day, holding hands while smiling.
The couple tied the knot in Ibiza after meeting at a Gumball 3000 rally in 2010. Although they are yet to welcome a child, Eve and Cooper are happy raising his four kids.
