Closer Weekly: Royal Family to Organize a Very Special Christmas for Queen Elizabeth
It’s a known family tradition that the Royal Family gathers together annually for their Christmas celebrations. However, this year things are different with the Queen’s grandson organizing something for her.
Royal Family usually sees the Queen hosting Christmas celebrations at her Sandringham estate, however, this year this will not be the case. The outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease has caused major restrictions.
Despite this, her grandson Prince William and his wife Duchess Kate are allegedly going to make the holiday worthwhile anyway. According to a “Closer Weekly” source, they’re “planning a big surprise” for the Queen.

The publication’s insider noted how William and Kate wouldn’t get to see the Queen at the Jacobean estate in Norfolk, but this wasn’t stopping them from doing something for her. The source revealed:
“They’re going out of their way to lift her spirits and make it extra special!”
The big surprise, which might not be much of s secret anymore if the monarch gets to read this article, is that the Cambridges plan on hosting a family Zoom call. They will call the Queen on Christmas Day.
The surprise will allegedly include Prince Edward, Prince Charles, Princess Beatrice, and her sister Princess Eugenie. Their children and significant spouses will also take part in the call.
Also “joining in on the fun” is the Queen’s other grandson Prince Harry, his wife Duchess Meghan, and their son Archie. The trio will be taking part all the way from the US where they currently live.
Apparently, the Cambridges have also planned to play festive games and charades. Kate and William, who released a new portrait recently, are parents to Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 2.
The insider claimed the three children couldn’t wait to tell the Queen about the gifts they will get. They are allegedly also quite excited about wearing their Santa Claus hats and to sing “Merry Christmas.”
The images will include never-seen-before photos from special holidays and birthdays.
Kate is also getting gifts ready to be sent out on Christmas Day. According to “Vogue,” Kate plans on gifting the Queen a leather-bound photo album with pictures of their favorite moments with her and the children.
The images will include never-seen-before photos from special holidays and birthdays. She’s also baking some delicious cookies for the Queen and her children will all take part in helping her decorate them.
The source also shared how the siblings had already painted their Christmas cards which are handmade. The cards include some adorable personal messages from the three children.
