Reba McEntire's Favorite Childhood Christmas Memory Involved Her Older Brother Pake
In a recent interview, country singer Reba McEntire, who turned 65 in March, recalled one of her favorite childhood Christmas memories that involved her older brother Pake.
In her interview with UMG Nashville, Reba McEntire revealed a childhood memory about Christmas morning at her childhood home. The award-winning singer grew up in Oklahoma.
"The funniest thing I can always remember about Christmastime is my older brother Pake when we were kids at home," McEntire shared, adding he would always be the first one to jump out of bed.

The singer told how her brother would then run down the hall wearing only his underwear. When they didn't hurry up, Pake would say to them he would open all the presents himself, McEntire said.
"But he knew it was a standing rule we all had to be in there before anybody could open up a present," she explained, "but I can still see Pake running down the hall."
In the mid-1980s, McEntire's career was well underway when Pake made his way into country fame. The elder McEntire had a major hit song in 1986 and another a year later.
After McEntire left her family band, she spent most of her career on Mercury and MCA Records, so it seems unlikely she was involved in getting Pake signed to a recording contract.
On December 7, McEntire joined the meme trend #MyElf, which has taken over Instagram.
Pake, who made his country music debut with "Every Night," was with RCA Nashville. However, the deal reportedly got done with the help of McEntire's manager.
Pake was with RCA through 1988. Since then, he has provided backup vocals for McEntire. He has reportedly left the music industry in order to work on his ranch.
Meanwhile, on December 7, McEntire joined the meme trend #MyElf, which has taken over Instagram. In her post, famous popstar Justin Bieber is seen sitting on her shoulder.
The trend gained popularity after "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" actress Garcelle Beauvais shared a photo of herself on Instagram sitting on Pharrell's shoulder.
McEntire is currently dating actor Rex Linn, who is best known for his roles in "CSI: Miami," "Better Call Saul," and "Young Sheldon." The two were recently spotted at the Music City Center in Nashville.
Linn reportedly accompanied McEntire prior to her co-hosting duties with Darius Rucker. McEntire and Linn's date night at the show marks their red carpet debut as a couple.
