Actress and singer Hilary Duff, who starred in “Lizzie McGuire” in the early 2000s, welcomed Architectural Digest into her beautiful and vibrant Los Angeles home.

Hilary Duff’s 5,260-square-foot Georgian-style Beverly Hills house is cheerful, modern, and cozy, and the actress has worked hard to create the perfect place for her family.

She confessed that while most people move to Beverly Hills for the view, she did it because the house felt “really nested,” and it is like she’s getting a “nice, warm hug.”

REMODELING THE HOUSE

Before moving to Beverly Hills, Duff lived in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles. One issue about it was that every time she wanted to visit her mom’s home (down the street), the paparazzi were ready to take photos.

However, when she got pregnant with her son Luca, she started looking for a more private place. Duff, fortunately, found the place, but she modified plenty of things.

The actress told AD that she had actually remodeled it twice since the initial remodel process because she went through some “big life changes:” namely divorce and a second kid.

It was all worth it as Duff found the balance between having a beautiful interior design while keeping it kid-friendly. Now, the actress said that the house really feels like their family’s home.

In the video, Duff explained that her favorite piece of furniture from her house is a credenza built around the 50s. She bought it when she was about 19 years old. Scroll down to watch the video.

One of the fanciest areas of the house is the living room. According to Duff, that’s where her family spends most of their time together, watching TV and playing with their pets.

MORE BEAUTIFUL ROOMS

Still, Duff’s favorite part of the house is her kitchen. She revealed that the “crazy tiles” on the wall seemed like a “bold” and “loud” choice when she started remodeling, but she loves it.

The singer and actress also showed the place where she delivered her youngest daughter. It’s a cozy area that features a bathtub, a couch, and a “vanity space” next to her closet.

Duff put a lot of work in her children’s bedrooms, too. Her daughter’s room has plenty of pink, while her son actually has a two-story bedroom that features a slide and a net for him to play.

Her backyard is impressive, too. Apart from the pool (with a water slide) and the ground trampoline, Duff has a treehouse, a herb garden, a “quarantine hang space,” and a coop with chickens.

Duff and her husband, Matthew Koma, who celebrated their first wedding anniversary in December 2020, definitely live in a dream house. Still, it is a safe environment for their kids to grow up.
