Adam Levine Admits Sexiest Man Alive Title Given to Blake Shelton Was a Downgrade
Adam Levine grabbed an opportunity to poke fun at Blake Shelton when he joined a popular Instagram trend shortly after the country singer invited him to his wedding for a humorous reason.
Blake Shelton and Adam Levine seldom let opportunities to tease each other go by, and the Maroon 5 frontman's recent session on social media was no exception.
Fans got to ask Levine questions through a feature on a photo-sharing app, and they wanted to know more about his thoughts on the PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive title - so Levine humorously obliged.

IT'S ALL RELATIVE
The 41-year-old was named PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive in 2013, a title that didn't cross his mind until then, as he dreamt of winning a Grammy one day as a musician.
Nonetheless, the title left him "amazed and stunned," but when asked by one of his fans how it felt during his recent Q&A session, he called it "totally silly but flattering."

POKING FUN AT BLAKE
Soon questions turned to Levine's thoughts on another former Sexiest Man Alive, Blake Shelton, with whom he served as a coach on "The Voice."
More specifically, a fan asked whether Levine believes that PEOPLE downgraded by naming Shelton as their chosen Sexiest Man Alive in 2017, to which he jokingly replied, "100%."
Shelton even poked fun at himself after earning the title, currently held by the actor Michael B. Jordan. Speaking to PEOPLE at the time, the 44-year-old country singer said:
"Y'all must be running out of people. Like, Wow, we're down to somebody who is somewhat symmetrical."

POKING FUN AT ADAM
Levine's response came after Shelton spoke about his upcoming wedding to Gwen Stefani earlier this month. Divulging a few details, Shelton shared that Levine has no choice but to perform at their wedding.
The reason Shelton insists on Maroon 5 being his wedding band is a simple one. He reckons their music is "so boring" that no one will get distracted from all the festivities set to take place at the reception.
THE PROPOSAL
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani shared their engagement with the world on October 27 after he popped the question during a birthday get-together, and Stefani had no idea it was coming.
While going down on one knee to get a fire started, Shelton asked Stefani to grab him a fire starter from the nearby cabinet. When Stefani opened the box, she saw the ring, and Shelton proposed.
