Selena Gomez makes a comeback to the kitchen for season two of her HBO Max show, “ Selena + Chef.” The singer blessed fans with a teaser for the upcoming season, which featured some hilarious scenes.

Selena Gomez is starting the new year on a note of improving her cooking skills. The former child star recently shared the trailer of the upcoming season of her cooking show, “Selena + Chef,” on Instagram.

The 1 minute-36-second clip opened with several scenes of Gomez getting busy in the kitchen, chopping, stirring, and grilling before it shows her in a striking red patterned dress speaking with her grandfather.

She asked the elated patriarch how he felt about a second season, and he happily quipped, “I’m back!” In the clip's voice-over, the award-winning singer explained that she isn’t the best cook there is.

However, she has no intention to stop improving herself, so she decided to return to her kitchen to get schooled by some of the best chefs in the world. The clip showed different scenes of Gomez trying her hand on various dishes.

Despite having the guidance of some of the best cooks globally, the “Lose You To Love Me” crooner managed to have some mishaps in her well-fitted kitchen. A scene in the footage showed her trying to put out the fire from a flammable dish.

Season one of “Selena + Chef” ran through August 2020 and showed her partnered with the likes of Roy Choi.

Gomez promises that the 2nd season would be more fun with a lineup of kitchen experts, including JJ Johnson, Graham Elliot, Evan Funke, Marcela Valladolid, Curtis Stone, Kelis Rogers, Aarti Sequeira, Marcus Samuelsson, and José Andrés.

The reality show is set to premiere on Thursday, January 21, with three new HBO Max episodes. Following the trend of the previous season, the celebrity cooks would use the show to promote charity organizations of their choice.

Season one of “Selena + Chef” ran through August 2020 and showed her partner with the likes of Roy Choi, Angelo Sosa, Nancy Silverton, and others. Fans got to see Gomez work her way up to build her kitchen skills.

It was followed by a Thanksgiving special that saw her pair with the Indian chef Sequeira for an episode titled “Selena + Aarti: Friendsgiving,” where the “Wizards of Waverly Place” star cooked a turkey for the first time.

2020 was an eventful year for the 28-year-old pop singer. She kicked off the year with the release of her third studio album, “Rare,” and as expected, it topped the chart at No.1, going platinum.

Gomez also released her highly-anticipated makeup line in February, “Rare Beauty.” The beauty line took two years to create and garnered over 1 million followers minutes after its announcement on Instagram.

Alongside the products, Gomez introduced the Rare Impact Fund, which aims to raise $100 million over the next decade to connect those in impoverished communities with needed mental health services.
